Download the wave Jira plugin (installation steps below)

Description:

Both Jira and Confluence plugins do exactly the same. They allow you to embed a wave into a Jira issue or a Confluence page.

In Jira you can place the wave in the issue’s description or add it as a comment.

Usage:

{wave:id=<wave_id>} or: {wave:url=<wave_url>}

where <wave_url> is the url that you have in your address bar when you are in google wave, for example:

https://wave.google.com/wave/?pli=1#minimized:nav,minimized:contact,restored:wave:googlewave.com!w%252Bg0FiXwsAF

There are also optional parameters width and height:

{wave:id=<wave_id>|height=1000px|width=100%}

Confluence Plugin installation

    * It’s best to follow the steps described by Sarah post (thanks Sarah)

Hint: You can use Confluence wiki markup to make your wave look prettier on the Confluence page. For example, a simple {panel} macro puts a border around the wave:

{panel}

{wave:url=my.wave.url}

{panel}

Jira Plugin installation

    * Shut down JIRA
* copy jira-wave-1.0.jar into ‘…/atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/lib/’
* Start up JIRA
* Go to: Administration > Plugins and confirm that JIRA Wave plugin is listed and enabled.
* Go to: Administration > Field Configurations > Default Field Configuration > Comment – Renderers and set Active Renderer = Wiki Style Renderer. Press Update.
* Go to: Description – Renderers and set Active Renderer = Wiki Style Renderer. Press Update.
* Go to: Environment – Renderers and set Active Renderer = Wiki Style Renderer. Press Update.

How to make your wave public

Just add easypublic@appspot.com to it.

Future plans

We have huge plans to enhance this plugin to add more features for integrating all Atlassian tools with Google Wave.

If you have any problems or suggestions, please write on the wave below.

The source code will be released soon under the BSD licence.

Place here your suggestions about our plugin for embedding waves on Atlassian Confluence pages:

    * Confluence search should enable searching inside embedded waves
* Easy linking the Jira issues
* A macro for listing all the embedded waves in one place
* Converting existing pages into waves
* Ability to add a Confluence page to a wave.
